Feng Shui- For a Better Living...!

Feng Shui which is literally translated as " A way of wind and water" is an Art of Placement. Feng Shui originated in China, and has been practised for more than 3000 yrs. The basic purpose of Feng shui is to bring balance and beneficial energy to the environment. It could be the our work place or the place we live in.

Feng Shui can be better understood by understanding Ch'i, the energy that animates, connects and moves everything through the cycles of life. The earth is made up of five physical elements metal, wood, fire, water and earth. The manifestation of all these elements is Ch'i. Feng Shui understands the interaction between these elements and is used to either enhance positive Ch'i or correct negative Ch'i.

Every individual is unique and so Feng shui works differently for every individual. Feng shui suggests you create positive energy thats most suitable to you. Suppose a photo frame really irritates you, Dump it asap!! Replace it with any show piece you like or with a photo frame gifted you by a special some one. Personalize your home to work for you, and you'll be amazed with the rise in energy levels in the house. Clutter around the house could really dampen that positive energy so follow a habit of clearing up clutter. A clean and clutter free home is not only soothing to our eyes but it makes life easier. Organisation of things in the house helps save valuable time which we may have spent looking for things otherwise. Ask yourself four questions if you are wondering whether to keep an object or not:
1. Do I need it?
2. Do I love it?
3. Do I use it?
4. Does it evoke any positive memory or make me happy?
And if the answer to the above is NO , gurl you really dont need that thing anymore!!

Feng Shui suggests bringing nature indoors. Let maximum amount of sunshine come into your home during the day. A small plant would not only bring positive energy into your home but add to its beauty. The plant may not necessarily be an exotic one, a simple or decorative plant like a bamboo plant could do wonders. You must have definitely seen a small pond, a fountain or a fish tank in a Chinese restaurant- The idea is that just as water flows smoothly so should energy! Make Feng shui a way of your life, get rid of those unhealthy relationships. When people in the house are loving, take care of eachother, laugh together adds to the energy around the house. Lighting up a little scented candle in the evening or even saying a small prayer to your God could make you feel Energised..!!
I have not discussed any of the complicated Feng Shui tips involving directions and symbols. Am just discussing some simple tricks which may be easy to follow in our busy lives. Hope you'll try them on and see the difference. Take care, and keep me posted.
